|Title: First Gigantic Blue Jet|
Concept: The first ever video record of a gigantic jet captured near Puerto Rico
Detail: Courtesy Prof. Victor Pasko, Pennsylvania State University. This monochrome Nightscope video (false colored blue) shows a gigantic jet captured in September, 2001 emerging from a storm top (about 15-18 km high) and extending to above 80 km, in the first ever video of a direct electrical connection between the troposphere and the ionosphere. Video greatly slowed/repeated and uprezed to 1080HD. The gigantic jet was located over the ocean north of Puerto Rico.Video Credit: Victor Pasko/WeatherVideoHD.TV
