|Title: Weather Diary 19 January 1977|
Concept: Florida Snow "Storm"
Detail: 19 January 1977: The same massive cold air outbreak which caused numerous
all time low record temperatures throughout the U.S., plunged into Florida.
Snow, which had never before been seen descending south of Fort Myers, was
witnessed throughout the Miami area. Up to a 1/4 inch actually accumulated
in West Palm Beach, 1/2 inch in Tampa, and according to reports, snow
flurries were actually seen in Nassau in the Bahamas - an event totally
unprecedented in the last century.
