Title: How to Keep Warm
Concept: Cold weather means proper clothing.
Detail: Use common sense! Probably the most important way to keep warm is to wear several layers of light clothing rather than one bulky garment. Layers of air are, in fact, excellent insulators and retainers of heat. The air pockets between several layers of clothing will hold your bodies warmth very well indeed. Thermal underwear, with a shirt and sweater, and a parka will shield you from extremely low temperatures. It is the extremities of the body, however, that suffer mostly from frostbite. Toes, fingers, nose, ears - those are the danger points. Tight shoes, and one layer of thin stockings can often mean frostbite. Looser fitting shoes with several layers of thin stockings is the way to go. Ear muffs, nose muffs, and of course, a hat is almost essential.
